PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

All models are fully PC programmable with an extremely wide range of features. New features are constantly being added to existing products. Periodically, entirely new models are introduced to fill emerging customer needs and to take advantage of the latest technology available to the industry.

All products are available in an extremely wide range of bands to meet the requirements of nearly every country in the world. Multiple format tone encoding/decoding, ANI, voice scrambling, high/low power, etc. provide the ability to design smarter communications.

Portables: The Model KG209 is a full-featured portable radio available in an extremely wide range of bands to meet the requirements of every country in the world. Multiple format tone encoding/decoding, ANI, voice scrambling, high/low power, etc. offer options to the customer to provide design smarter communications. High capacity Nickel-metal-hydride batteries provide long operating periods between recharging. All metal die-cast housings with neoprene “O” ring seals provide rugged service under all operating conditions. A full line of options and accessories are available to complement the radios features.

Mobiles: The Model KG208 mobile provides all of the operating features of the KG209 portable while providing higher power audio and RF outputs of 25 or 40 Watts. Its compact housing will fit into the dashboard of many vehicles and extender cables permit mounting the very compact control unit near the operator and locating the chassis at another location.

Full Duplex Mobile: The Model KG506 is an extremely rugged, continuous duty radio designed as a building block for a variety of fixed and mobile applications. Common uses are:

· repeaters for mobile, transportable, fixed in-band or cross-band operation

· full duplex voice/data systems

· duplex radio links

· rural telephones

· digital paging, etc.

Construction is modular using receiver and transmitter modules almost identical to the KG510 Base Station/Repeater. A DB37 connector provides interface of all functions to external control systems.

Base Station / Repeater: The Model KG510 is a 50 Watt, continuous duty station that is only 2 rack units high (3.5” / 760 mm) high. A full dot-matrix LCD provides readout of all information including channel frequencies and tones, diagnostics and mode of operation. Bar graphs display received signal strength and transmit power output. Digital modulation input permits operation in paging systems such as POCSAG. Dual receiver RF sections permit operation as both base station and repeater on different channels without sacrificing front-end selectivity. A DB25 connector provides interface to external accessories such as trunking controllers, remote control systems, etc.
